Movie & Raft Night – True Spirit
Raft and Movie Night returns on Friday, July 17 so bring your blankets for the deck and small inflatables for the pool. No boats or over-sized rafts please – it’s too hard for our lifeguards to see clearly with those. As always, keep your eyes on your children at all times while they are in the pool as it is typically a crowded and late night, making the guards’ job a tough one.
Rafting fun starts at 7:30pm and the movie will begin at dusk, around 8:15pm and should finish around 10:00pm when the pool closes. In the event that movie night gets canceled due to weather, follow Merrimack Pool on Twitter or keep an eye on the Merrimack Pool homepage for our live Twitter feed.
Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate and we hope to see you there!
Mack’s Cafe will be open.
True Spirit is an inspiring drama based on the remarkable true story of 16-year-old Australian sailor Jessica Watson. In 2009, Jessica set out to defy the odds, public skepticism, and her own deepest fears by embarking on a perilous 210-day journey across the globe. Navigating some of the world’s most dangerous stretches of ocean entirely alone, she battled towering waves, violent storms, and crushing isolation. Ultimately, her unwavering determination transformed her from an underestimated teenager into the youngest person to sail solo, unassisted, and nonstop around the world, proving that with enough grit, the impossible is within reach.
