MERRIMACK MAINTAINS TWO DIFFERENT MEMBERSHIP TYPES:
1. SHAREHOLDER MEMBER ("Owner")
The pool is owned by Merrimack Park Recreation Association (MPRA), a 300-family, shareholder owned cooperative club. For those who wish to purchase membership shares, we maintain a waiting list. Priority is normally given to residents who live in or near the immediate neighborhood around the pool.

2. SUMMER AFFILIATE MEMBER ("Affiliate")
MPRA has two types of non-shareholder affiliate memberships: Full Summer Affiliate and Late Summer Affiliate. MPRA offers non-shareholder Affiliate Memberships on an annual basis.
A. FULL SUMMER AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP:
Full Summer Affiliate Members enjoy swim privileges at Merrimack throughout the entire swim season. Priority is given to Full Summer Affiliate Members of the previous year until April 1st of the current year. Applications to rejoin Merrimack Park Pool as an Affiliate Member are sent out in early February. While April 1st is the deadline for submitting Affiliate applications, MPRA operates on a first-come, first-served basis. MPRA reserves the right to limit affiliate membership to avoid overcrowding.
The fee for Full Summer Affiliate Membership is $375 for the first member and $100 for each additional swimmer in the family (including babysitters or nannies).
Your cancelled check is confirmation that a spot was secured for your family. Welcome letters are sent out to Full Summer Affiliates in late April. After April 1st, we turn to our waitlist and offer spaces according to the numerical order of the waitlist.
WAITING LIST FOR FULL SUMMER AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
The 2010 Full Summer Affiliate Wait List is now closed. Please consider Late Summer Affiliate Membership. Those who put their names on the Full Summer Affiliate Wait List should have received a message notifying them that we could not offer them a full summer spot this summer and encouraging them to consider a Late Summer Affiliate Membership.
Be advised that this year's waitlist doesn't carry over to next year. The 2011 wait list will begin on January 1, 2011. If you would like to place your name on the wait list for Full Summer Affiliate Membership in 2011, you will have to send a message on or after January 1, 2011.
To add your name to the wait list, email Membership Coordinator Kathy Knox at kathyknox@verizon.net. Please type 2010 Waiting List in the subject line of your e-mail and include your name, address and telephone number. A reply confirmation e-mail will be sent to you when your request is received. NOTE: Waitlist requests posted prior to January 1, 2011 will be not be recorded.
You will not be contacted again unless an opening becomes available. Current members have until April 1 to rejoin. We will not know if there are any openings until mid May.
B. LATE SUMMER MEMBERSHIP:
The 2010 Late Summer Membership swim season begins Sunday, July 18, 2010 and extends through the end of the season. MPRA rerserves the right to limit Late Summer Memberships to avoid over crowding.

ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP INFO
BRINGING GUESTS
Guest passes cost $10.00 per card, payable by check only at the front desk. Fees per guest are $2.50 on weekdays, $5.00 on weekends and holidays.
EARLY BIRD SWIMMERS
For an additional fee of $50 per swimmer, the pool is available on weekday mornings between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. beginning June 16 through August 22.
SWIM & DIVE TEAMS
Swim and Dive teams are available to all Full Summer Affilate and Shareholding members between the ages of 6 and 18. Separate fees apply for membership to one or both of those teams.
